What is SIOR

SIOR is a global, professional association that represents the commercial real estate industry’s top producers. SIOR History

A professional affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®, SIOR is dedicated to the practice and maintenance of the highest professional and ethical standards. Founded in 1941 (in answer to the U.S. War Department’s request for assistance to locate industrial facilities), SIOR maintains a commitment to business and industry by providing outstanding professional services, publications, and educational programs.

SIOR Today

Today, the global SIOR network includes nearly 3,100 members in 630 cities in 34 countries. SIOR also boasts an associate membership that includes corporate executives, developers, educators.

75th Anniversary of SIOR

In celebration of Society of Industrial and Office Realtors’ (SIOR) 75th anniversary, 48 U.S. chapters and three Canada, Europe and Mexico chapters are moving a Diamond Scepter (Torch) across the U.S., Canada, Europe and Mexico. The Diamond Scepter will travel by all modes of transportation to showcase each chapter in bringing awareness to SIOR.

SIOR Diamond Tour commenced on April 16, 2016 at the close of the SIOR Spring World Conference in San Diego. The Torch will make its way through the Western U.S. and Mexico until June 22 when it will move to London for a week. Upon return to the United States, it will weave its way through the East and into Canada, and finally New York for the national conference grand soiree on October 21, 2016.

The goal of this tour is to celebrate SIOR for its 75 years of “charting together its members that provide best in class commercial real estate services that require ability, integrity and sincerity from its brokers/members.”
